Cabin Living Room
Pine floors and lining for a cabin that works hard.
[ Overview ]
A holiday cabin needed to sleep six, dry boots, and survive being rented out all winter. We laid solid pine floors, lined the walls in the same timber, and built a window seat with boot storage underneath deep enough for wellingtons.

What the room asked of us
Rental turnover means mopping, dragging and damp dogs. The floor is finished in a commercial-grade oil that spot-repairs in minutes, and every board end is sealed against the weather the guests bring in.
[ Our approach ]
How we answered it
Slow-grown pine throughout, knots and all — the client wanted character, not perfection. Lining fixed on battens for airflow, floors glued and nailed for silence under excited feet.
