A good floor is felt more than seen: level underfoot, quiet under step, glowing a little more each year. We lay solid and engineered boards — oak, ash, thermo-timber — sanded flat and finished in oil or lacquer to suit boots, paws and toy cars.
Solid boards
20mm oak and ash, secret-nailed and glued — the floor that outlives the house around it.
Engineered boards
Stable wide planks for underfloor heating and concrete slabs, with a thick re-sandable wear layer.
Parquet & patterns
Herringbone, chevron and basket-weave, laid true from a chalked centreline.
Sanding & restoration
Tired boards brought back: flat sand, gap fill, and a finish that suits modern life.

From first measure
to final oil
Level survey
We laser the subfloor and test moisture — the unglamorous part that decides everything.
Acclimatise
Boards rest in your home for two weeks, so they move before we fix them, not after.
Lay & sand
Laid, then sanded flat in five grits until a coin slides silently across the joints.
Finish & aftercare
Oiled or lacquered, with a care kit and a maintenance visit in year one.

Solid or engineered — which do I need?
Over underfloor heating or concrete, engineered. Over joists with history ahead of it, solid. We survey and tell you straight.
How dusty is sanding?
Our machines extract 98% at source and we sheet-seal every doorway. You will find dust, but not drifts.
Can you match my existing floor?
We carry samples of common profiles and will feather new boards into old so the repair disappears.
