Inside the Cedarwick workshop, a joiner at the bench

[ Our story ]

Three generations, one workbench

Cedarwick Turned Goods began in 1974, when founder Arthur Cedarwick set up a single bench in a former grain store and started making staircases the slow way — by hand, to measure, from timber he could name the woodland of.

Fifty years on, the bench has become a workshop of twelve joiners, carpenters and finishers, but the method has not changed. We still draw every project around the room it will live in, still cut joints meant to be tightened rather than replaced, and still sign the inside of every carcass we build.

From fitted kitchens to whole timber buildings, everything leaves our yard in one piece and is fitted by the same hands that made it.
